Ebay Selling Tips - May ‘09, Part 2

  • Low priced items can add up to make big profits - You should never overlook the lower priced item’s that are selling on ebay, do some ebay research & find low priced items that are selling well. Then all you need to do is find some similar items that you can get cheap in bulk, & imitate exactly what the successful sellers are doing, & you’ll be sure to see some profit if you do it right.
  • Don’t try & run before you can walk - If you are new to ebay, don’t start out by listing more items than you can handle or you are bound to get things mixed up, ie; orders go out to wrong address, etc…
  • Be clever about how you list your items - Don’t list too many different types of items on the same account. What I like to do is, list each different type of item on a separate account. Now of course you will have to take some time to build up your feedback on these accounts by buying cheap items first, otherwise not many will want to buy from a seller with low feedback. The point to this is, if someone finds you are doing well on your account, at least they won’t have found all of your best selling items.
  • Be professional at all times - Try not to let your emotions get the better of you. For example, if a buyer leaves you a negative feedback don’t let it upset you too much. You have the option to respond & are able to leave a comment under the negative comment, so if it was uncalled for you can let you customers know that. You can also try & work something out with that customer, & if you both agree ebay will remove the negative comment at the customers request. To try & avoid getting a negative feedback you should always request in your listing, that if the buyer is not completely satisfied with their purchase, please contact us so we can rectify the problem before leaving negative feedback.
